ملكة لمدة ستين عاما ورثت العرش عن والدها الملك جورج السادس (وكان اسمه الامير البرت قبل ان يتنازل اخيه الاكبر أدوارد الثامن عن العرش بسبب السيدة سيمبسون التي عشقها والتي منعه القانون البريطاني من الزواج بها لانها مطلقة 

تعتبر هذه من اكثر قصص الحب رومانسية في القرن العشرين

اما والدها فرأيناه يتجسد في فيلم خطاب الملك الحائز على أوسكار، وهو الملك الذي كان يعاني من صعوبة في النطق وقد قام بدوره في الفيلم الممثل كولين فيرث

الملكة اليزابيث وخلال ستين عاما من الحكم اعتادت ان تخاطب شعبها لتهنئهم بالاعياد المجيدة
فكانت اول تهنئة اذاعية عام 1952 في عام حكمها الاول وفي عام 1957 كانت تهنئة متلفزة

اما عام 2012 فالتهنئة ثلاثية الابعاد

يستطيع مشاهدة هذه التهنئة من يملك تلفازا خاصا ونظارات ثلاثية الابعاد

الملكة تواكب التطور التكنولوجي فشاهدناها تزور موقع غوغل وتنشيء حسابا على تويتر فهي لم تبتعد كثيرا عن شعبها حتى وان تجاوز عمرها الثمانين

يدخل البشر التاريخ من ابواب عدة ـ البعض من يدخله من ارفع الابواب واكثرها احتراما واخرون يدخلونه من اقذر

منتظر الزيدي صحفي عراقي دخل اسمه سجلات التاريخ عندما رمى بحذائه في وجه الكذب والنفق

في وجه الاستعمار المتخفي والاذلال في عقر الدار
رمى بحذائه على اكبر رئيس دولة في العالم جورج بوش الابن في ديسمبر 2008 فاعتقل
وصرخ الحذاء بأي حق اضرب ووقف الشارع العربي وقفة اجلال واحترام لمنتظر الزيدي
لكن بعض رفاقه من الصحفيين اعتبروا ان ما فعله الحق العار بهم لذا قام احدهم  وبعد الحادثة
باسبوعين برشق حذائه على الزيدي في باريس عندما كان في مؤتمر صحفي يتحدث عن حادثة
الحذاء

هذه الحادثة جعلت حذاء الزيدي اشهر من حذاء سندريلا وحذاء لطنبوري وسأل الجميع عن مصدره
يريدون شراء مثله واقيم له تمثالا ليخلد تلك اللحظة التي قلما تتكرر ولعبة الكترونية تعطي اللاعب

بعد ذلك اصبح الحذاء هو سلاح الرفض فتبعت الحادثة حوادث اخرى مشابهة في العالم

This was written some 160 years ago but if you read
carefully it applies to what’s happening now

Charles Dickens a British novelist wrote 14 immortal novels,
they are still getting printed up till now, downloaded as e-Books too

Can’t see a child holding an empty plate and not think of
Oliver Twist, or  someone without any
spirit for holidays without Scrooge crossing my mind.

Although his characters were rich and colorful that you even
can see them move as you read, I had always this black and white sometimes grey
pictures in my head when reading his novels, I had even thought that color was not
in at those times, but this is how things were when Dickens wrote his
masterpieces, times were hard, people were poor and thieves all around also reminds
me of our current times now, in color

His books were adapted for movies and theater, over and over
again. Sometimes with a modern twist, like the Great Expectations modernization
with Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke in 1998

Today, February the 7th 2012 marks 200 years of
the birth of the world’s best storyteller

Dickens at 200 has never been younger
